PestPro Spotlight exists for one reason: to make it easier to find the locally owned pest control company your neighbors already trust.
The national brands spend a lot to show up first when you search. Meanwhile, thousands of independent, family-run companies do excellent work and get by mostly on word of mouth. We want to give those companies a place to tell their story, and give homeowners a better way to find them.
How we chose them
For our first group of spotlights, we looked for companies that are:
- Independent. Locally or family-owned, and not a franchise location.
- Loved by their customers. Each has an exceptional record of reviews from the people they serve.
- Rooted in their community. Many have been serving the same area for decades.

- Hurst Pest Services, Frostproof, FL: Locally owned since 2006 and rooted in Polk County, with science-backed service for East Polk homes and businesses.
- Noosa Pest Management, Charlotte, NC: Family-owned since 2006, serving Charlotte, Lake Norman, and Fort Mill/Rock Hill.
- Valley Pest Co., Powell, TN: A family-operated company serving Knoxville and East Tennessee.
- Village Exterminating, Dobbs Ferry, NY: Family-owned since 1992, serving Westchester, Rockland, and Bergen counties.
